Will the light stay on while the chandelier is descending?
No. For safety, AMZHO chandelier lifters are designed to cut power to the fixture during descent automatically. The circuit is only completed (and the chandelier illuminates) when the fixture is fully raised and securely locked into the contact plate at the ceiling level.
What safety features are in place to prevent the chandelier from falling?
Our chandelier lifters are built with multiple layers of protection:
Self-Locking Mechanism:
In the event of an unexpected motor shutdown or loss of power, an internal mechanical brake immediately secures the wire rope, preventing movement.
Overload Protection:
The power is automatically disconnected by the system if the load surpasses the specified weight limit.
Mechanical Locking:
When lifted all the way up, the chandelier is held in place by a mechanical ceiling lock in addition to the wire rope, ensuring a stable and fixed position.
